I am happy as long as it’s warm, and that’s odd for a Canadian. Something I do to relax is… get in the bath. I love the markets there, you can get everything so fresh and so beautiful. I like everything about the Caribbean-the culture, the natural environment, the accessibility to fresh vegetables and fruits. My favorite getaway is… anywhere in the Caribbean-Jamaica, St. My favorite food to make is… being a vegan, it’s really simple-salads, soups, pasta, rice, burgers, pizza, or whatever. It lets you know exactly how much to put in, how long to cook it for, and it reminds you with a little ding-dong when you should come back and start doing the next stage. It cooks food and measures everything for you. The one thing in my kitchen I can’t live without is… I was given a Thermomix last Christmas. It’s become iconic-first of all, it’s an iconic building we saved from becoming a parking lot, and then we restored it and turned it into a recording studio. It’s my most luxurious and precious place where I create music and a lot of other people do, too. The most luxurious thing I own is…my studio in Vancouver called The Warehouse Studio.

I love everything about it-the little shops, the architecture. Which is one of two islands in the middle of the Seine. My favorite neighborhood to explore is…a neighborhood called the Marais, it’s a really interesting old district of Paris. I love the Portuguese, they are such sweet, great people, and so are the Jamaicans. My favorite place I’ve ever lived is… probably Portugal, either Portugal or Jamaica. I also ended up touring with David Bowie in South America and performed with him in England with Who I ended up writing songs with in the ’90s. I was into everything from the 1960s and ’70s, so heavy rock bands like Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and The Who. My favorite bands when I was growing up are…anything that was loud and had lots of hair. He has also teamed up with bettermoo(d), a Canadian startup developing dairy-free products scheduled to launch to consumers later this year.Īfter research showed that the best-tasting dairy in the world comes from the Alps region in Europe, where cows roam free eating herbs and flowers, bettermoo(d) is incorporating those herbs and flowers in a range of non-dairy alternatives. These passions led him to co-design a fall capsule collection with Wuxly, a Canadian animal-free outerwear company. While he’s currently immersed in his music, Adams still makes time for one of his favorite causes: animal rights and veganism.
